BPI named among Asia’s best

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has made it to the list of Asian companies adjudged best in corporate governance. It shares the honor with Globe Telecom and Ayala Land, its fellow member-companies under Ayala Group.

BPI is the only bank included in the list of the best in the Philippines The five corporations and their respective rankings are Globe Telecom, first; SM Prime, second; Ayala Land and BPI, third, and PLDT, fifth.

The Asset, a financial magazine based on Hong Kong, determined the ranking of the companies after a survey of global institutional investors doing business in China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and the Philippines.
