Asiatrust Bank launches Xmas gifts

Some of the coolest gifts for the holiday season are home appliances, office equipment, electronics gadgets, toys, trip packages and cellular phones. And these big ticket items are being offered by Asiatrust Bank to old and new depositors in two separate Christmas promos called "Gifts on Your Check" and "Five for a Phone."

"Gifts on Your Check" allows checking account holders with a minimum average daily balance (ADB) of only P10,000 to earn points for every P5,000 ADB. The higher the ADB the more points they earn which can then be exchanged for exciting gifts of their choice – from the latest home appliance models to the most exciting holiday trip packages.

Regular checking account holders are automatically included in the promo while current account/savings account manager and EC manager account holders have the option to enroll and join the promo, which is ongoing until May 31, 2004.

The "Five for a Phone" is open to all peso and dollar time depositors of Asiatrust. The bank is giving away the latest models, including the popular Samsung, Nokia and Sony Ericsson models with camera.

The promo is open to peso and dollar time depositors with a minimum placement of P50,000 or $1,000 deposited under a minimum term of five years and one day. The higher the peso or dollar placement allows for more exciting the choices of celphones to be given away for free. Higher placements also automatically earn higher interest.

For instance, a minimum placement of P50,000 earns an interest of two percent per year or 0.5 percent interest for $1,000, plus a high-tech Samsung V200 for free.

Nokia phones, including the 6800 and 7250i, and Sony Ericsson T610 are also being offered for free with corresponding peso and dollar time deposits.
