Philamlife, Visa International forge unique card alliance

The Visa International and the Philippine American Life and General Insurance Co. (Philamlife) have forged an alliance that will reward cardholders for paying their insurance premiums with Visa.

"Philamlife policyholders who pay with Visa enjoy the convenience of having their premiums automatically debited from their Visa card accounts. They do not worry about missing payments, forgetting due dates or taking the trouble to go to Philamlife counters to pay their premiums. Visa makes the whole payment process fast, fuss free and automatic," said Anton Romulo, Visa International’s country manager for Philippines.

Starting May till July this year, nine lucky policyholders who pay with Visa will also be awarded prizes such as a Canon digital camera, Sony VCD player, or Nokia 3650 mobile phone.

At the end of the three-month promotion, the big prize of a Grand Outback Adventure for two to Australia will be drawn. That final draw will also see three cash prizes given away to policyholders, in amounts of P10,000, P15,000 and P25,000.

"By teaming up with the global leader in payment cards, Philamlife will be reaching out to a greater number of customers whose preferred payment choice is Visa and extending the flexibility of payment by credit card. Some of our customers still pay their premiums by cash or check and miss on the enormous benefits of the auto charge arrangement. If they sign on within the next three months, they stand a chance to win amazing prizes. But for the longer term, they will be able to enjoy the simplicity of plastic payment and reap additional rewards like frequent flyer or loyalty points chalked up on their Visa cards for future redemption," ]ose L.
