Equitable Card launches aggressive marketing tack

Equitable Card, the leading card network in the country, gives holders of Visa, MasterCard, JCB and American Express a Christmas bonus that will last well into the first quarter of 2002.
Equitable Advantage 2 promo which begins this December and will run until Mar. 31, 2002 allows cardholders to avail of exciting freebies and discounts in almost 100 participating merchant establishments.
Equitable cardholders can avail of free dishes, gifts, special rates, and discounts of as much as 50 percent from reputable restaurants, hotels, specialty stores, and vacation resorts in Manila, Cebu and Davao.
"Apart from this, there is the on-going Equitable Advantage Plus Rewards Promo wherein cardholders earned one E-point for every P50 spent. Now, in the spirit of Christmas, we are doubling the E-points. This time, every P50 purchase made between Dec. 1-24, will earn two E-points," explains Teresita Tanbonliong, Equitable card first vice president for Card Sales and Marketing.
E-points may be accumulated and then used to redeem trendy apparel, appliances and electronics such as a palm personal digital assistant, panasonic cordless phone, electric oven, philips flat television and whirlpool microwave oven.
The Equitable Advantage 2 promo includes all Equitable Classic, Gold, International, and Local credit cards as well as Visa Corporate Cards, Equitable Affinity Cards, selected Co-branded Cards and cards issued through tie-ups with Equitable Card. Even purchases through the Deferred Payment Plan and valid dollar transactions can earn E-points.
Cardholders who subscribe to multiple Equitable VISA, Equitable MasterCard, Equitable JCB or Equitable American Express may consolidate their E-points to aim for bigger rewards.
Furthermore, every P500 spent using Equitable Credit Cards within the whole promo period entitles the cardholder to one raffle number, the grand prize for which is a trip for two onboard a Star Cruises luxury vessel.
