PBA nadismaya kay John Amores

MANILA, Philippines — Literal na isa nang ‘shooting guard’ si NorthPort rookie John Amores.

Ito ay matapos masangkot sa isang shooting incident ang 24-anyos na PBA player sa Lumban, Laguna noong Miyerkules.

Sumuko kahapon ang dating Jose Rizal Heavy Bomber kasama ang kanyang kapatid sa mga awtoridad.

Walang pahayag ang PBA at ang Batang Pier management kung papatawan ng parusa si Amores.

“This is a matter subject of investigation by the police, and we cannot comment in it. But we are saddened by such unfortunate incident,” ani PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial.

Pinili ng NorthPort si Amores bilang No. 51 overall pick sa 2023 PBA Rookie Draft at pinapirma sa isang one-year contract.

Anim hanggang 12 taong pagkakakulong ang kinakaharap ni Amores matapos barilin si Lee Cacalda sa National Road, Barangay Maytalang Uno dahil sa pustang P4,000 sa kanilang laro.

Sa laro ng Heavy Bombers sa NCAA Season 98 ay umastang ‘John Wick’ si Amores matapos sugurin at pagsusuntukin sa bench ng St. Benilde ang ilang players ng Blazers.

Pinatawan siya ng NCAA Management Committee (MANCOM) ng indefinite ban at hindi na nakalarong muli sa liga.
