Spirulina pushed as cure for dengue
MANILA, Philippines – Members of the Spirulina Foundation of the Philippines Inc. led by their president Domingo Diaz Tapiador have sent letters to Health Secretary Enrique Ona, of DOH, Health assistant Secretary Elmer Punzalan, of DOH and chief epidemiologist Dr. Eric Tayag, recommending spirulina as a cure for dengue fever.
Many testimonies are given with the use of spirulina as cure for dengue, especially from those coming from Marawi City, Metro Hospital, Masangkay St., Binondo, Bacolod City, Angono and Cainta, Rizal.
Spirulina is a 100-percent natural “food supplement.” It is the world’s healthiest and richest whole food micro-vegetable (blue green micro-algae). One gram of spirulina has the equivalent food nutritional value of one kilo of assorted vegetables. It is available from a local producer, the Aztec Foodgrowers Corp. with address at 5 Buick St., Cainta, Rizal.
