New pollution control officers training set

A basic training course for new pollution control officers (PCO) will be conducted by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau-National Capital Region and the Water Environment Association of the Philippines (WEAP) on Oct.21-24 at the Great Eastern Hotel on Quezon Ave. in Quezon City.

EMB Director Ramon Aguilar will spearhead the training which aims to enable various industries improve their pollution prevention, cleaner production through environmental management.

The seminar will orient the prospective PCOs on the different environmental laws and their implementing rules and regulations, EMB policies and programs, and PCO duties and responsibilities.
