New book on swine production
The acknowledged Father of the Philippine Swine Industry, Dr. Valentino Arganosa, launched recently a book titled “The Science, Technology and Practices in Swine Production.”
Sponsored by San Miguel Foods, Inc. Feeds Business- B-Meg Feeds and San Miguel Animal Health Care, the book co-authored by Dr. Oscar Gatmaitan and Dr. Edwin Luis aims to provide fundamental knowledge and practical applications on swine production.
Written in English, the book includes illustrations and graphs for simple comprehension to serve as “text book”—end-all guide to raising hogs—for students engaged in swine sciences.
Dr. Argañosa and B-Meg’s partnership go way back. When the expert retired, he visited farms and conducted seminars to share his knowledge to backyard raisers and commercial farmers in coordination with B-Meg.

Donations are also accepted and should be coursed through the V.G. Arganosa Foundation in exchange for a copy of the book. All proceeds will go to the foundation’s scholarship program, among others.
