BMEG, the livestock and aquatic feeds brand of San Miguel, was the major sponsor in the recently concluded Agrilink 2007 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

“Agrilink is the biggest annual gathering of the agro-industrial industry and we, as the biggest player in the feeds segment as well, want to make maximum use of this opportunity to reach out to our market,” said Jake Lugay, category manager for marketing of BMEG San Miguel Foods Inc.

As a sponsor, BMEG provided, informative talks and sponsored resource speakers to discuss the latest trends in livestock raising and feeding. Furthermore, free technical advice was available at the BMEG booth along with the free massage.

San Miguel Foods Inc. (SMFI) Day was held on Oct. 5. Fun-filled activities with exciting prizes were given away in the BMEG Bingo and Ginebra San Miguel games. Monterey Foods and Magnolia chicken station also sponsored a cooking demonstration at the foyer of the World Trade Center.

BMEG aims for continuous market growth by offering its new free-range chicken feed, BMEG Integra 1000 Chick Booster, 2000 free-range chicken feeds and 3000 maintenance feeds. Improvements in consumer-friendly packaging and marketing were also launched, such as the color-coded variants for the San Miguel animal health care line. The BMEG text line, 0922-999BMEG (2634), was recently started to effectively answer customer concerns along with the improvement of the official BMEG website, www.b-meg.com.

Agrilink is an annual meeting of both consumers and producers in the agricultural sector, along with Foodlink and Aqualink for manufactured processed foods and fish industries, respectively. The three confabs are spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture, together with the Foundation for Resource Linkage and Development along with some 20 national trade associations from various sectors of the agricultural industry and the private sector.
