The theme of the convention is "Filipino hog farmers — Grow and go global".

Agriculture Secretary Arthur C. Yap will be the guest of honor and speaker. The ceremonial ribbon will be cut by Yap and Pinky Pe Tobiano, CEO of Qualibet Testing Services Corp.

NFHFI president Albert R.T. Another highlight of the event is the series of seminars on modern swine production and the eradication of common swine diseases.

The event is the largest and the longest running trade shows on the hog industry and is part of NFHFI’s mission to protect and promote the interest of the hog farmers as well as to enhance the opportunities for growth, efficiency, equity and sustainability of the P120-billion hog industry.

The topics to be discussed during the seminars are: "Criteria for selecting tunnel ventilation system for hog operation", "Effect of vaccination of inactivated PRRS vaccine on breeders and grower pigs", "Strategic Deworming Program in Swine Commercial Farms", "Management and technology to improve profitability in swine production" and many others.
