Pollution control officers training set

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-National Capital Region Environmental Management Bureau and the Water Environment Association of the Philippines (WEAP) will conduct a basic training course for new pollution control officers (PCO) on Jan. 23-26 at the Abeerden Court, Great Eastern Hotel, Quezon Ave., Quezon City.
The four-day seminar will orient the prospective PCOs on the different environmental laws and their implementing rules and regulations. EMB policies and programs and PCO duties and responsibilities will also be taken up.
EMB Director Arnulfo Hernandez will spearhead the training aimed at enabling industries to improve their environmental management, pollution prevention and cleaner production programs.
