In celebration of the Environment Month this coming June, the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) in cooperation with the private sector, is set to launch a "Recyclables Collection Event" (RCE) in four key locations in the country.
The even is slated on June 10 in Davao, June 16 in Quezon City, June 23 in Benguet and June 30 in Cebu. The RCE is a series of one-day collection/buying events for recyclable materials. The recyclables which can be redeemed for cash at the RCEs are used papers and cartons; junk electronics and electrical equipment; used lead batteries; used PET bottles and other plastics; aluminum cans; scrap glass; used printer ink and toner cartridges; and used tires.
