Agribusiness center to be set up in Pampanga

Agribusiness technology development center will be established in Mabalacat, Pampanga.
This center will be a joint project of the Department of Agriculture Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR) and the United Pharmachem Agrivet, Inc., a member of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FFCCI).
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the setting up of the ATDC has been signed between BAR and United Pharmachem Agrivet, Inc.
Signatories to the MOU were BAR Director Nicomedes P. Eleasar and United president and CEO Elpidio Duca. The signing ceremony was witnessed by officials and member of BAR and FFCCI.
The center will be equipped with modern agriculture facilities suitable for the experimentation and demonstration of newly introduced and highly productive crops, technologies, and farm equipment. It will be recognized as one of DAs official accredited testing sites.
Under the MOU, United and its partners will provide the land, labor, production inputs, equipment, infrastructure, market development, and marketing of products for the ATDC. It will also be responsible for the daily management and proper implementation of the joint projects.
For its part, DA-BAR will provide the required government permits and technical support in the testing and evaluation of all kinds of agricultural crop hybrids and varieties, equipment, and facilities and assistance in facilitating government requirements for the projects. RAF
