More Euro firms join RP agri show

More European firms are joining Agrilink 2001 and Foodlink 2001, which make up the country biggest and most prestigious international food and agribusiness trade show that will be held at the World Trade Center Metro Manila on Oct. 18-20.
They will join the other foreign exhibitors from North America, Middle East, Asia, and Australia, according to the Foundation for Resources Linkage and Development (FRLD) and the Jaarbeurs Exhibition and Media, the event organizers.
Some of these European firms have established their offices in Manila. These include Schippers Philippines, Big Dutchman, and MIK Philippines, among others.
Schippers Philippines is an affiliate of Schippers Europe BV, which has over 35 years of experience in the supply of equipment to agricultural businesses throughout Europe. It has developed a comprehensive range of specialized agricultural equipment for artificial insemination.
Big Dutchman is Europes market leader in pig and poultry housing and feeding systems from simple, hand-operated to computer-controlled systems and turn-key projects including cage, egg, and floor management facilities.
German-based MIK Philippines is the maker and distributor of MIK Flooring, the original plastic flooring for pigs. MIKs production plant in the Philippines has ISO 9002 standard of the German TIV Rheinland.
Compared with other plastic flooring, MIK has the highest quality raw material, making the product last for 20 years.

Agrilink will showcase worldclass local and foreign firms involved in agricultural chemicals, animal and plant breeding, farm equipment and machinery, fertilizers, fish farming, horticulture, irrigation systems, postharvest and packaging facilities, seeds transportation and communication, veterinary materials and services, and financial services.
On the other hand, Foodlink will feature companies involved in the production, manufacture or processing of dairy and baked products, beverages, cooling and storage facilities, food ingredients and additives, food packaging materials fruits, meat products, process automation, seafood, storage and logistics, vegetables, waste water treatment, and consultancy, among others.
Complementing Agrilink and Foodlink will be the 1st International Postharvest Horticulture Conference slated at the Philippine International Convention Center and the World Trade Center on Oct. 17-19. The conference will have internationally- renowned plenary speakers from the United States and Canada and around 300 local foreign delegates.
