ALI rolls out shared spaces in malls

MANILA, Philippines — Property giant Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) has introduced shared spaces in its malls where people can work, rest and connect.

Our Common Place, which has been rolled out across One Ayala, Greenbelt and Glorietta this month, is a shared space initiative aimed at making malls “more useful, accessible and responsive to today’s realities.”

Across participating malls, ALI said visitors would find flexible spaces that provide accessible environments for remote work, casual meetings, creative pursuits, or simply taking a pause.

ALI said the areas are designed to accommodate a range of needs throughout the day, with features such as open tables, charging stations, small-group seating and quieter corners for rest.

“Today, people are looking for places that support how they live day to day,” Ayala Malls’ head of marketing and consumer experience Mae Dichupa said.

“With Our Common Place, we’re opening up spaces where people can work, pause, or spend time with others — while making it easy to help one another. It makes the mall more meaningful in everyday life,” she said.

Located at the Palm Drive lobby, Our Common Place at Glorietta features communal tables, a coffee pop-up, a dedicated area for children, a community board and productivity essentials.

Our Common Place at Greenbelt 5, for its part, has lounge seating, work desks and a coffee pop-up, while Our Common Place at One Ayala features The Stacks, which offers a communal reading nook, and The Hobby Hub, which provides board games and hands-on activities for those looking to unplug.
