Figaro beefing up manufacturing capability

MANILA, Philippines — Food and beverage company Figaro Culinary Group Inc., formerly Figaro Coffee Group Inc., is beefing up its food manufacturing capability in line with its plan to expand its food platforms beyond retail.
Through wholly owned subsidiary Figaro Innovation and Development Inc. (FIDI), Figaro is broadening the group’s food product offerings, enhancing manufacturing capabilities and preparing for future export opportunities.
FIDI recently signed a supplemental agreement with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, reaffirming FIDI’s status as a PEZA-registered export enterprise, supporting its operations at the Laguna Technopark – Special Economic Zone and enabling the manufacturing of products and other food innovations under the Figaro Group portfolio.
The supplemental agreement builds on FIDI’s existing PEZA certificate of registration, which recognizes the company’s registered activities as an export enterprise engaged in toll manufacturing of coffee mixes and food products.
“This agreement supports Figaro Culinary Group’s broader vision of expanding its food platforms beyond retail, strengthening manufacturing and positioning our brands for future growth,” FIDI chief financial officer Jose Petronio Español said.
FIDI was established to serve as Figaro’s dedicated innovation and manufacturing arm, allowing the group to scale food production beyond its retail brands while building capabilities for both domestic distribution and eventual export markets.
The group aims to develop new food formats, improve production efficiency and strengthen quality standards aligned with international requirements through FIDI.
Figaro operates and franchises a network of retail restaurants that include Figaro Coffee, Angel’s Pizza, Tien Ma’s, Koobideh Kebab and Café Portofino.
