MANILA, Philippines — Australian home and lifestyle brand Anko has opened its fifth store at Ayala Malls Feliz in Pasig amid sustained growth and strong customer demand.

The addition of Ayala Malls Feliz reflects a strategically planned expansion for Anko, which is targeting high-growth residential corridors across Metro Manila.

“Entering the Philippines has been a strategic priority for Anko as part of our global expansion plans,” Anko Global CEO Arjun Puri said.

“The Philippines represents one of our most dynamic markets globally, and this new store allows us to strengthen our footprint while delivering on our mission to make great design accessible to more homes worldwide,” he said.

With a total area of approximately 1,570 square meters, Anko’s fifth branch showcases the brand’s curated range of collections, including home décor, bedding and linens, dining and kitchenware, beauty and vanity items, arts and crafts, pet essentials as well as creative toys for kids.

Anko Philippines country manager Rachel Turner said the expansion reflects how the company’s values and designs resonate with local shoppers, establishing the brand as a trusted choice for home and lifestyle essentials.

“We’re excited to bring more in-store experiences, offering inspiration, quality products and a sense of community for families in this vibrant side of the metro, especially during the Christmas season when thoughtful gifting is top of mind,” she said.

Anko, which was established in 2017 and is part of the Kmart Group, entered the country through a partnership with the Ayala Group with the opening of its first store in Glorietta 2, Makati City in November last year.

In just one year, Anko has opened five stores in Metro Manila, including Ayala Malls TriNoma, Alabang Town Center, Manila Bay, and now Feliz.

By next year, Anko intends to double its store network to make its products accessible to more Filipinos.

“We’ve seen strong and steady growth in our first year. Customer response has exceeded our expectations, both in-store foot traffic and repeat purchases,” Puri said.

“Our performance reinforces the strength of our brand positioning. While we don’t disclose specific figures, we can say confidently that the Philippines is proving to be one of our most promising international markets, and we’re committed to long-term investment here,” he said.

Puri said that Anko is encouraged by the response from Filipino shoppers, and expansion beyond Metro Manila is definitely part of its long-term vision.

“We definitely see potential beyond Metro Manila, with so many vibrant communities across the country that share the same love for design and everyday value. We’re looking at key cities where Anko can fit naturally into people’s lifestyles, and where we can grow in a way that feels thoughtful and sustainable for the brand,” he said.

Anko provides good quality and well-designed products, which are sold at a price point that is affordable even to the middle-class or even the lower-class Filipinos.

Aside from opening more stores, Anko is focused on nurturing its connection with customers through the Anko Club App, which has grown to over 36,000 members.

The platform serves as a primary channel for gathering feedback and engaging directly with shoppers.

“We will continue to level up the Anko Club experience and rewards in 2026, with more exclusive event access, regular workshops, promotions and updates on new products,” Turner said.
