Mang Inasal names new marketing head

MANILA, Philippines — Mang Inasal has appointed Mari Aldecoa as its new head of marketing and business channels as the quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain seeks to expand its reach and strengthen customer engagement.
Aldecoa brings over 15 years of experience in marketing and brand management across the quick-service restaurant and consumer goods sectors. He previously led Red Ribbon Bakeshop’s marketing operations, where he helped drive growth and maintain the brand’s market position.
Since assuming his post, Aldecoa has been identifying new growth opportunities and exploring additional marketing channels to boost visibility while keeping the brand’s core identity intact.
He said his focus would be on expanding the brand’s presence, preserving its Filipino heritage and ensuring it remains relevant to evolving consumer preferences.
“What excites me most is the opportunity to build on an already powerful brand, one that is deeply loved and performing at its strongest,” Aldecoa said.
My role is to take that momentum and elevate it even further, ensuring that Mang Inasal remains both iconic and ever-evolving for the next generation of consumers,” he added.
In the latest Brand Finance 2025 report, Mang Inasal was recognized as the strongest quick-service restaurant brand in the Philippines and ranked seventh among the country’s strongest brands overall. It also placed 25th among the most valuable Philippine brands.
Founded in Iloilo in 2003 and acquired by Jollibee Foods Corp. in 2016, Mang Inasal now operates over 570 stores nationwide and is known for its signature grilled offerings.
