MANILA, Philippines — Alternergy Holdings Corp., chaired by former energy secretary Vince Perez, booked higher earnings for the fiscal year 2025, driven by its operating solar and wind power assets.

In a regulatory filing yesterday, the company reported a 27 percent increase in consolidated net income to P165 million from P129.6 million.

Revenues, likewise, surged by 31 percent to P359.9 million from P274.9 million.

Alternergy’s fiscal year begins every July and ends in June of the following year.

“We are pleased to report strong performance for the third year in a row after our public listing. Our operating assets continue to contribute significant margins,” Alternergy president Gerry Magbanua said.

During the year, Alternergy saw its consolidated assets more than double to P17.9 billion from P8.7 billion on the back of four renewable energy (RE) projects under construction.

“We expect that once the ongoing construction of the four projects is completed by the end of 2025 and early 2026, there will be a substantial boost in Alternergy’s financial standing,” Magbanua said.

Under its triple play portfolio, the company is advancing the construction of the 4.6-megawatt Dupinga run-of-river in Nueva Ecija, the 28-MW Solana Solar in Bataan, the 128-MW Tanay Wind in Rizal and the 64-MW Alabat Wind in Quezon.

With a robust portfolio of operational assets and a pipeline of high-impact projects, Magbanua said the company is cementing its positioning as “one of the fastest-growing RE developers in the country.”

Alternergy, whose portfolio includes wind, run-of-river, battery storage, solar farm and commercial rooftop, aims to have at least 500 MW of RE capacity by next year.
