MANILA, Philippines — Australian home and lifestyle brand Anko is continuing its expansion in the Philippines with the opening of its fourth store next month.

In a statement, Anko said it is set to open a new store in Ayala Malls Manila Bay-Parañaque in October.

“For people residing in this part of Metro, this new store and our existing branch at Alabang Town Center will make shopping even more convenient,” Anko Philippines country manager Rachel Turner said.

The new store, which will cover around 1,465.20 square meters, is opening in time for the holiday season.

Apart from home decor, kitchen must-haves and other creative finds, the new store will be featuring holiday offerings, including Christmas decorations and gift ideas.

“We have so much in store for the holiday season and we can’t wait for our customers to explore it all. We’re proud to continue offering our products at consistently low prices, ensuring that everyone can celebrate meaningfully without over spending,” Turner said.

Earlier this year, Anko said it plans to open two more stores in the country to bring its total number of branches in the Philippines to five by the end of the year.

Last July, Anko opened its third and biggest store in the country in TriNoma Mall in Quezon City.

Apart from TriNoma, Anko also has stores in Glorietta 2 in Makati City and Alabang Town Center.

Established in 2017, Anko is part of the Kmart Group, which is under Wesfarmers Ltd., one of Australia’s leading companies.

The retailer offers homewares, toys, beauty, as well as travel products at low prices.
