MANILA, Philippines — For the sixth consecutive year, the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association (HSMA), the leading organization of hotel sales and marketing professionals in the Philippines, has launched its September Online Sale (SOS), offering discounts on hotel and resort bookings nationwide.
This year, the month-long event is themed “Discover the Best Stays in the Philippines”, highlighting the country’s diverse range of accommodations and outstanding Filipino hospitality while making travel more accessible for both locals and tourists.

“HSMA is excited to give travelers not just discounts, but carefully designed experiences across all regions of the Philippines. Through SOS, we’re making world-class hospitality more accessible while boosting our domestic tourism industry,” Loleth So, HSMA president, said.
The online fair also supports the Department of Tourism’s Love the Philippines campaign, reinforcing HSMA’s commitment to promoting domestic tourism and encouraging Filipinos to explore local destinations.
“Love the Philippines finds its perfect partner in SOS. Together, we invite Filipinos to rediscover our destinations, support local tourism workers, and celebrate the richness of our country,” Department of Tourism Assistant Secretary Sharlene Zabala-Batin said.
From September 1 to 30, HSMA said buyers can enjoy up to 80% off on accommodations, dining, spa treatments, fitness packages and wellness experiences from nearly 100 participating hotels and resorts across the Philippines. There are also special offers on hotels and resorts’ social banquets and corporate meeting functions.

"SOS provides a more relaxed, flexible, and accessible booking experience that truly puts travelers first," Ma. Celeste Romualdo, HSMA SOS Project Head/Director for Membership, said, adding that their platform eliminates the stress of traditional travel fairs.
HSMA executives also emphasized the deeper purpose behind the SOS.
Introduced in 2020 to support the hospitality industry amid the challenges of COVID-19, the SOS has since evolved to offer even more value and variety for Filipino travelers.
“What makes SOS truly special is how our member hotels and resorts unite for one cause: to give travelers the best value while showcasing the breadth of Philippine hospitality. This collaboration is our way of ensuring that every Filipino can discover world-class stays right here at home,” Tet Romualdo, HSMA Director of Membership and Project Lead for SOS, said.
“This year’s SOS is not just about discounts, but about curating meaningful experiences — from family-friendly vacations to wellness escapes and even pet- and Muslim-friendly packages. We want every traveler to find a stay that feels tailor-made for them,” Amie Villena, HSMA Vice President and Co-lead for SOS, also said.
Since its launch, SOS has grown, extending from a week-long event to a full month. Vouchers are now valid through 2026 to 2027 and the number of participating hotels and resorts has expanded nationwide.
SOS has already generated P122.5 million in sales from previous editions, with last year’s fair selling 5,552 vouchers and generating P24.2 million in revenue.
