Toyota, JoyRide partner for long-term car rental services

MANILA, Philippines — The official car rental service of Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. (TMP) has teamed up with ride-hailing app JoyRide to offer travelers long-term car rental solutions.

In a statement yesterday, TMP said the partnership between Toyota RentaCar and JoyRide would enable customers to book the car rental service through the ride-hailing app.

Managed by Toyota Mobility Solutions Philippines, Toyota RentαCar offers a wide selection of vehicles, from sedans to sports utility vehicles and vans.

Customers can opt to rent vehicles for as short as 10 hours to as long as three years, depending on their travel requirements.

Amid evolving traveler needs, Toyota RentαCar and JoyRide decided to partner to help improve access to transport and customer experience.

“The shared goal is to enhance mobility services in and beyond Metro Manila – ultimately contributing to a more connected and commuter-friendly Philippines,” TMP said.

The service will initially be made available in Metro Manila.

Through the partnership, Toyota RentαCar and JoyRide are providing a convenient way for customers to address their immediate and extended car rental needs.

It is expected to benefit those based outside Metro Manila, those planning to visit multiple destinations or anyone who wants a more personalized and flexible travel experience.

To avail themselves of the service, users simply need to download the JoyRide Superapp and select the car rental feature.

First-time users will have to register on the Toyota RentαCar website.

Payments for the rental service can be made through e-wallets, as well as credit or debit cards via the JoyRide Superapp.

Users can also pay using cash or card at Toyota RentαCar branches.
