Goldilocks rolling out 30 franchise-owned stores
MANILA, Philippines — Goldilocks Bakeshop Inc., part of the SM group’s portfolio investments, is rolling out an additional 30 franchise-owned stores this year as it continues to drive expansion through partnerships.
Goldilocks has 926 stores as of end-2023, of which 360 are franchised-owned stores. It also has a network of over 76 multi-unit franchises nationwide to date.
“Each of our franchisees is deeply embedded in their communities and this intimate local knowledge is crucial because it allows each bakeshop to feel less like a chain and more like a neighborhood store,” Goldilocks COO Jerson Go Uy said.
As part of its commitment to the success of their partners, Goldilocks extends substantial support by providing them the necessary tools to thrive as business owners.
“Even more meaningful, this business relationship that Goldilocks grows with its partners often started with longstanding love and trust for the brand. Many Goldilocks franchise owners started out as loyal customers in their youth,” the company said.
SM Investments Corp. (SMIC) earlier said it is poised to put up more Goldilocks stores nationwide this year.
After opening 41 stores in 2023, Goldilocks plans to add 60 new stores in 2024.
