MANILA, Philippines — Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) has opened its second dealership in Iloilo City to provide easier access to customers from the city proper and adjacent towns.

MMPC said the new dealership in Iloilo City is under the management of Grand Canyon Multi-Holdings Inc. (GCMHI).

Located at Brangay Taft North, Mandurriao, Iloilo City, the new Grand Canyon Iloilo dealership features a 2,122-square meter showroom floor which can display a total of 13 Mitsubishi vehicles and a comfortable customer lounge.

The dealership also features an equally spacious service center with 20 service bays.

“With the growing demand in the area, MMPC saw the opportunity to place another Mitsubishi outlet to serve more Filipinos in the area,” MMPC said.

GCMHI has long been one of the prominent players in the automotive industry managing several car dealerships from different brands, especially in the Iloilo province.

“Our commitment to providing exceptional service, top-quality vehicles, and innovative solutions remains steadfast. We are dedicated to exceeding your expectations and ensuring your satisfaction at every turn,” GCMHI president Jan Andrew Po said.

MMPC said the inauguration of the Grand Canyon Iloilo dealership signifies the shared vision of both parties to further expand the reach of the brand in the area, delivering exceptional customer experience and service which Mitsubishi Motors is renowned for.

“Together, we embark on a journey that goes beyond providing vehicles; it’s about creating experiences, building lasting relationships, and contributing to the progress of the communities we serve,” MMPC president and CEO Takeshi Hara said.

Grand Canyon’s Mitsubishi dealership in Iloilo is the 66th 3S (sales, service, and spare parts) dealership of MMPC nationwide.

Data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. and the Truck Manufacturers Association showed that MMPC was the second highest-selling automotive company in the country last year with a market share of 18.2 percent. It sold 78,371 units in 2023, up from 53,211 units in the previous year.
