MANILA, Philippines — Agribusiness Rural Bank Inc. (Agribank), a unit under the Ropali Group of Companies, has stepped up its digitization efforts through the implementation of a digital management system (DMS), as it seeks to expand its market reach and further grow its business this year.

The bank has tapped the services of Oradian for an extensive, cloud core banking solution, followed by the bank’s subscription to Amazon Web Services for an additional layer of security.

It also continuously develops different products to cater to the growing needs of the market such as overseas Filipino workers, small business owners and farmers.

Last year, Agribank launched its mobile app that aims to streamline processes and prepare depositors in far flung areas and communities to switch from their usual visits to the bank to a more convenient app-based transactions.

Agribank president and CEO Danny Boy Antonio said the company would continue to improve its services as it prepares for an even bigger business in 2023.

Lea Yamballa, Agribank chief executive vice president and revenue officer, said the bank would continue to give more Filipinos greater access to financial services that are not just accessible, but also competitive in terms of rates and product features.

“Recently, we‘ve upgraded our system to Amazon Web Services for a more secured banking experience, as we live by our promise of the rural bank that cares. We wanted to start with the safety of our core banking system, thus our constant upgrade and series of enhancements within the bank’s operational systems. Additionally, we are very proud to hit the 5,000 download mark last December,” she said.

With the Agribank mobile app, the company aims to further grow as a responsible and innovative business that aspires to make banking within every Filipino’s reach.

Agribank started in 1978 in Sta. Fe, Nueva Vizcaya and has since expanded in different regions, offering deposit and loan products at competitive rates through over 33 branches and branch lite units nationwide.

Meanwhile, the Ropali Group is a mid-sized conglomerate focused on motorcycle and agricultural machinery trading.
