GAD compliance for gov’t institutions

MANILA, Philippines — All national agencies, its attached bureaus, instrumentalities, local government units, government-owned and controlled corporations, government financial institutions, water districts and electric cooperatives must establish and strengthen their gender and development mainstreaming in compliance with pertinent laws.

To help in the capacity building of covered institutions, the Center for Global Best Practices will launch three pioneering training programs to be conducted via Zoom:

Allocation, utilization and audit of GAD budget (1:30 to 4:45 p.m.)

Friday, June 3 | for Local Government Units

Friday, Nov. 18 | for NGAs, GFIs, GOCCs, water districts, and electric cooperatives

Avoid COA notice of suspension and disallowances! These programs are to help government officials, and employees to have a clearer understanding and application of the guidelines related of GAD planning, budgeting, and use of the mandatory fund allocation.

The Law and IRR of Safe Spaces Act (1:30 to 4:30 p.m.) Friday, Dec. 2

This awareness training is to guide covered entities, including all private and public institutions, in compliance with RA11313 and its IRR to help them update their workplace policies and development of their code of conduct based on the provisions of this law. The law mandates that all employees have a training on Safe Spaces Act.

CGBP is an accredited training provider of the DILG-Local Government Academy, the Civil Service Commission, Securities and Exchange Commission, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Anti-Money Laundering Council, and PRC-Board of Accountancy.  Government employees who enroll in this training will not be covered by Philippine Procurement Law or RA 9184 based on its Revised IRR’s Section 4.5-b, which classifies training and seminars as non-procurement activities. DBM circular 563 issued on April 22, 2016 also exempts public officials and government employees from the P2,000-limit per day on training fees.
