MANILA, Philippines — Eagle Cement Corp., the listed cement company of the Ang family, said it continues to respond to the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 pandemic particularly in the communities around its facilities in Bulacan and Cebu.
Eagle chairman Ramon Ang said the cement company has already distributed 21,000 relief goods to 18,000 families over the past two months, with each pack estimated to last for two weeks for a family of four.
“Eagle is committed to continue helping our partner communities where we operate, during the crisis and beyond. We were able to expand the reach of our relief operations and extend assistance to more people in need including local frontliners in Bulacan and to families in our community in Cebu,” Ang said.
