Gonzalez

MANILA, Philippines — International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) has appointed Christian Gonzalez as executive vice president of the company.

ICTSI said its board of directors approved Friday  the promotion of Gonzalez from senior vice president and global corporate head to executive vice president.

Gonzalez was named ICTSI’s global corporate head in 2018. Prior to that, he served as regional head of Asia Pacific as well as head of the Manila International Container Terminal.

The company’s  board also approved the postponement of the company’s annual stockholders’ meeting originally scheduled on April 16 to May 21 “in order to protect and safeguard the welfare, health and safety of ICTSI’s shareholders and other stakeholders in light of COVID-19 pandemic.”

ICTSI, which operates 31 facilities worldwide, is taking all the necessary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 across its terminals globally without disrupting the essential flow of trade.

It assured that all of its terminals are fully operational as it continues to work with local and national authorities in all jurisdictions to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

Last year, ICTSI posted a net income of $207.5 million, down by 52 percent.  Revenue from port operations rose seven percent to $1.5 billion.
