MANILA, Philippines — Emmanuel Dooc was recently elected as an independent trustee to the Board of Trustees of Insular Life.
Dooc was president and CEO of the Social Security System (SSS) until March 2019.
Dooc is a distinguished veteran in the life insurance industry. He served as the insurance commissioner from 2011 to 2016. He has had extensive experience in the insurance operations, compliance, governance.
He is a master fellow and fellow of Life Office Management (LOMA), an associate in claims of the International Claims Association, and a fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
He has professional certificates in strategic management program from the College of Insurance in New York and 2015 Fall International Fellows Program organized by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and The Center for Insurance Policy and Research.
He attended the Executive Program for Senior Government Officials at the JFK School of Government in Harvard and was designated as the honorary insurance commissioner of Louisiana, USA in 2015.
Dooc earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from San Beda College. He took up Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Mabini Colleges.
