MANILA, Philippines – Several international and domestic flights were grounded and delayed on Monday due to Typhoon Nina (International name: Nock-Ten), according to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).
In a statement, MIAA General Manager Ed Monreal advised passengers to constantly check with their airline companies and their travel agents regarding status of flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) as some carriers canceled flights to ensure passengers’ safety.
Philippine Airlines (PAL), Cebu Pacific, Air Asia and Eva Airways issued travel advisories announcing the cancelation of their international and domestic flights of carriers due to the forecasted strength and track of Nina. Some of them announced the suspended and rescheduled flights on Christmas Day.
PAL, Air Asia and Cebu Pacific advised its affected passengers that they have options to rebook their tickets within 30 days from original date of departure without penalty or opt to refund their ticket in full.
Below is a list of canceled flights and the airlines’ contact details.
