Top Singaporean brands scout for Philippines franchisors

MANILA, Philippines -  Top Singaporean franchise brands are keenly interested on the Philippines, scouting for franchise partners to help them set up their presence here in the local market. 

A number of brands mostly from the food and beverage sector will fly to the Philippines to look for potential partners to penetrate the Filipino market, known for its enthusiasm when it comes to food. 

Brands from the retail and service industries will also be present in an exclusive business matching session on June 23 at the Le Jardin Manila in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. 

The event, made possible through the partnership of U-Franchise Sales and Management, the Philippine Franchise Association, Franchise and Licensing Association (FLA) Singapore, Astreem Consulting, and Francorp Philippines, aims to link local entrepreneurs with foreign franchise owners who want to enter the Philippine market through a franchise partnership. 

One of them is Atlanta-based restaurant chain Wing Zone, which serves American comfort food such as classic hamburgers, French fries, and buffalo wings in 17 flavors. 

BurgerUP, a do-it-yourself (DIY) gourmet burger chain, which boasts of a unique ordering system powered by touchscreen technology, will also join the business matching event.

Likewise, 47-year-old ramen restaurant chain Keisuke Ramen will also be featured in the event, alongside Maki-San, considered as Southeast Asia’s first DIY sushi and salad bar. At Maki-San, customers can choose from over 70 ingredients to custom-design sushi or salad—from the choice of rice, to the wrap, down to the meat and vegetable fillings, up to one’s choice of homemade sauces. 

Xiao Pan, which offers innovative Soya Bean based products for a good and healthy snack, will also be featured.

 Coffeeshop Joe & Dough and Swissbake are also scouting for partners. 

Joe & Dough serves hand-crafted coffee made with quality Arabica beans, wholesome sandwiches, and artisan breads and pastries baked fresh daily in its in-house bakery. 

Swissbake, on the other hand, is one of Singapore’s fastest-growing gourmet bakeshops founded by award-winning Swiss chef Xavier Baumgartner. 

FLA Singapore’s 2007 “Franchisor of the Year” PastaMania, the largest casual Italian dining restaurant chain in Singapore with over 50 stores, will also be showcased in the event alongside H20 Life Source, a water filtration systems provider which aims to revolutionize the water refilling industry in Asia and plans to have at least 1,000 stores in the Philippines in the next three years.
