BDO wins awards from The Asian Banker

MANILA, Philippines - BDO Unibank Inc. garnered two awards at the recently concluded The Asian Banker Excellence in Retail Financial Services Awards 2015.

The Sy-led bank bagged the Best Deposit Product and Best Internet Banking in the Philippines awards, its latest wins from the Singapore-based publication after it was recognized the Best Cash Management Bank in the Philippines in April this year.  

The Asian Banker particularly noted BDO’s proposition on interconnectivity and consistent growth in deposits. It was also recognized for being the “first bank in the Philippines to implement two-factor authentication for mobile and Internet banking” and for its strong growth in online enrollment and transaction, which grew on average 120 percent year on year since 2014.

A stringent three-month long evaluation process determined the winners from across Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. The awardees were honored in a ceremony attended by international financial services practitioners and key decision makers in the financial services industry in the country to recognize their efforts in using the best technology to run their institutions and bring superior products and services to their customers.
