Kuwaiti firm bankrolls $150 M for initial works in Clark complex

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Kuwaiti-backed Global Gateway Development Corp. (GGDC) broke ground recently for the $150-million first phase of the Aeropark Campus in the 177-hectare Global Gateway Logistics City (GGLC) in Clark Freeport Zone.

GGDC CEO Mark Williams said Quad 1 of the Aeropark Campus will involve the construction of five office buildings located just across The Medical City Clark Hospital, which was also developed by GGDC.

He said the ground breaking for the Aeropark Campus represents an exciting new phase in the development of GGLC, a mixed-use and master-planned office and logistics district strategically located next to Clark International Airport.

Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, is backing the planned $5-billion investment in GGLC.

He said once fully completed, GGLC will house over 5.8 million square meters of premier office and logistics space along with supporting retail, hotel and residential properties.
