Sta. Lucia acquires more properties
MANILA, Philippines - Real estate developer Sta. Lucia Land Inc. (SLI) continues to expand its presence nationwide through acquisition of more land and new joint venture agreements.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange yesterday, SLI said it recently acquired properties in Batangas and Iloilo with a combined size of 34.53 hectares.
In addition, the listed company said it has entered into 16 joint venture agreements in Davao, Rizal, Pasig, Batangas and Laguna for properties having a combined size of 142.33 hectares.
“This is a testament to the continuing commitment of the company in focusing its projects in emerging and growing cities nationwide,” SLI said.
“Some of these projects are extensions of existing developments such as Ponte Verde (Davao), Greenwoods Executive (Pasig), Metropolis East (Rizal), Golden Meadows (Laguna) and Metropolis (Iloilo),” the real estate company added.
SLI is one of the country’s largest subdivision developers with presence in 10 regions across the country.
The company has launched a total of 38 projects in the past three years in areas such as Rizal, Cebu, Iloilo and Davao.
SLI said it is poised to capture the country’s remarkable economic performance in the coming years as growth continues to accelerate in areas outside Metro Manila.
Aside from subdivisions, SLI is also keen on expanding its mall presence outside its domain in Rizal where the Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall is located.
SLI plans to build new malls in commercial areas it already owns, such as in Iloilo and Davao.
