MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) - Shares closed 0.07 percent lower today.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index decreased by 5.56 points to 7,485.32. The all-share index went up by 8.36 points, or 0.19 percent, to 4,384.61.

Trading volume reached 2.34 billion shares worth P8.06 billion ($179.78 million).

There were 93 gainers, 85 losers while 42 stocks closed flat.
