MANILA, Philippines - The peso rose against the dollar on Wednesday, closing at 44.87 from the previous day's 44.95.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $569.2 million, higher than the $551.6 million posted on Tuesday.
The peso opened Wednesday at 44.95.
