Cebu Pacific sees 18% hike in passenger volume

MANILA, Philippines - Budget airline Cebu Air Inc. (Cebu Pacific) sees volume of passengers increasing by 18 percent during the All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day weekend.

Cebu Pacific vice president for corporate affairs Jorenz Tañada said passengers should be at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) early in light of the peak travel.

“We recommend that passengers allow enough travel time when going to the NAIA terminal 3, and anticipate congestion as there is ongoing road work in the surrounding areas of the terminal,” Tañada said.

He added that passengers should also make time for expected long lines at the security scanners, check-in counters and immigration.

“We encourage guests to be at the airport three hours before an international flight or two hours before a domestic flight. Cebu Pacific counters will close 45 minutes before the scheduled time of departure,” the airline said.

He pointed out that passengers could avoid long lines at the airport through web check-in.

According to him web check-in for international flights is available from 72 hours up to four hours before scheduled flight departure and up to two hours for domestic flights.

Likewise, he added that self check-in kiosks are available at the NAIA-3 and select domestic airports from four hours up to one hour before the scheduled flight departure.

Cebu Pacific flies to 25 other international destinations including Bali, Bangkok, Beijing, Brunei, Busan, Dammam, Dubai, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Incheon (Seoul), Jakarta, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait, Macau, Phuket, Riyadh, Shanghai, Siem Reap, Singapore, Sydney, Taipei and Xiamen.
