CGBP sets seminar on int’l sales contract

MANILA, Philippines - The Center for Global Best Practices will feature a one-day special seminar entitled, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Model International Sale Contract” on Nov. 21, 2014 at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City, Philippines. 

ICC, as a rule-making body on international trade, recently updated the trade rules that is adopted by all countries globally through World Trade Organization (WTO). To help those doing business internationally and those planning to, ICC created the model sales contract as the latest time-saving tool that traders and business people can use for a simplified, trouble-free transactions.

The lecture takes the parties step-by-step through the process – from A to Z covering general characteristics of the contract, scope of application, termination of the contract, dispute resolution and more.

This updated version takes into account recent developments in international business and trade finance. While the focus of the lecture is on the sale of manufactured goods, it can serve as an example to work on for other types of products as well. 

CGBP will fly-in ICCs Czech Republic’s trade expert, Pavel Andrle. He is a recognized authority of ICC Centre for Expertise with ICC International Arbitration Court, ICC Paris.
