Peso dips on Friday

MANILA, Philippines - The peso sunk against the greenback on Friday, closing the week at 44.77 from the previous day's 44.625.

Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $574.7 million, lower than the $937.8 million posted on Thursday.

The peso opened Friday at 44.77.
