MANILA, Philippines - The peso plunged against the dollar on Wednesday, entering the 44 territory anew after finishing at 44.016 from the previous day's 43.87.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $669.5 million, higher than the $571.3 million posted on Tuesday.
The peso opened Wednesday at 44.02.
