Convergys, Stream merger to fuel growth

MANILA, Philippines - Convergys’ recent acquisition of Stream has resulted in the two-award winning BPO companies joining forces to become a stronger, combined team. As depicted in the company’s latest advertising campaign “Stronger as One”, the combination will cement continued growth for the nation’s talented workforce.

Already the Philippines’ largest private employer since 2010, Convergys further grew its employee base in the country from 41,000 to 55,000 with the addition of Stream in March. Together, Convergys and Stream anticipate further growth by more than 6,000 additional employees throughout the year, including positions in customer service, technical support and sales.

As a global leader in customer management, Convergys supports Fortune 500 (including half of the Fortune 50) companies in industries such as telecommunications, cable and satellite, technology, financial services, entertainment, retail, automotive, and healthcare.  Combined, Convergys and Stream now have a total of 34 sites nationwide, including those in Baguio, Pampanga, Metro Manila, Laguna, Cebu, Bacolod and Davao. 80 percent of the company’s leaders and managers grew their careers in the company.

Job applications can be made at Convergys and Stream recruiting centers nationwide, as well as convergys.com, Facebook, and job search portals like JobStreet.

“We are excited by the growth this combination brings to our current as well as future employees, and the communities where we live and work.  Coming together with Stream has made Convergys Corporation a $3 billion global company, and a more formidable presence across the world,” said Ivic Mueco, senior vice president and Convergys Philippines Country manager, adding,  “Beyond enabling significant expansion in our client base, global footprint and capabilities, the acquisition brought together two companies with a shared culture and commitment to caring for our people. Investing in talent development is intrinsic to us, for which we have both been recognized as top employers.”
