Seair to launch Boracay, Palawan flights

MANILA, Philippines - South East Asian Airlines International (Seair-I) is looking at expanding its current fleet of three aircraft through the lease of at least two Airbus A320 aircraft.

Seair I president Avelino Zapanta said in a press conference that the airline would pursue the expansion of its fleet as part of efforts to become the country’s premier leisure airline.

Zapanta said Seair-I has a fleet of two 32-seater Dornier 328 and a Boeing 737 freighter.

 â€œWe will re-establish our position as the nation’s premier leisure airline, connecting paradise to paradise and offering great value fares and superior passenger service,” he said.

Starting April 16, he said the airline would start Clark-Caticlan (Boracay)-Puerto Princesa route due to limited slots at the congested Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

 â€œWe are now based in Clark and no longer in Manila where there are limited slots. We will make Clark as the base of our operations,” he said.

Seair-I intends to fly five times a week for the Clark-Caticlan route and three times a week for the Caticlan-Puerto Princesa route.

 â€œWe expect demand and traffic on these routes to increase up to 300 percent to 400 percent over this initial offering and we are ready to expand our capacity accordingly,” he added.

Seair-I chief operating officer Patrick Tan said the airline now offers a promo fare of P2,085 for its Boracay and Palawan destinations.
