Peso climbs midday Tuesday

MANILA, Philippines - The peso climbed against the greenback midday Tuesday, settling at 45.037 against the previous day's 45.11.

Total volume transacted in the morning at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $336.1 million, lower than the $557.3 million posted the same period on Monday.

The peso opened Tuesday at 45.02.
