6 flights canceled due to LPA

MANILA, Philippines - Six domestic flights were grounded on Tuesday due to the low pressure area located east-southeast  of Davao City.

The Manila International Airport Authority Media Affairs Division said Philippine Airlines Express (PALex) flight 2P-967 Manila to Butuan and its turn around flight 2P-968 were both canceled due to the bad weather. Flight 2P-967 had a standard time of departure (STD) of 6:10 a.m., while flight 2P-968 had a standard time of arrival (STA) back in Manila at 9:40 a.m.

PALex flights 869/879 Manila-Cagayan de Oro-Manila  869/879 Manila-Cagayan de Oro-Manila with STD of 8:45 a.m. and STA of 12:30 a.m. and Air Asia flights Z2-340/341 Manila-Cagayan de Oro-Manila with STD of 5:05 a.m. and STA of 8:55 a.m. and Air Asia flights Z2-340/341 Manila-Cagayan de Oro-Manila with STD of 5:05 a.m. and STA of 8:55 a.m. were also grounded. 

The LPA brings moderate to heavy rains in the eastern parts of the country.
