SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Xoom Corporation (NASDAQ: XOOM), a leading digital money transfer provider, today announced that Xoom, along with its customers, have donated more than $220,000 to Filipino relief agencies to help victims impacted by Typhoon Yolanda.

Xoom and its customers donated the money to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) and the ABS-CBN Foundation (ABS). In addition to Xoom’s initial donation of $50,000 to the PRC, Xoom contributed 100 percent of all money transfer fees for contributions sent by Xoom customers to the PRC.

“Typhoon Yolanda was the most powerful storm ever to make landfall and its impact across the Philippines has been devastating,” said Pia Guter, Xoom’s Director of Marketing for the Philippines.

“Thank you to our customers, who made donations through Xoom to help our kababayans. Our hearts go out to those affected by this powerful storm, and our thoughts are with the victims and their families, as well as the Filipino community around the world,” added Guter.
