Memory seminar set Nov 17

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -  Many people were trapped by the preconceived notion that memorization doesn’t play a vital role in learning more than the analysis of data. Analysis of materials has its own place in learning but whether we accept it or not, we cannot deny the fact that there is no learning without memory.

The Golden Treasure Skills and Development Program will conduct  a one day seminar on memory training at the SMX Convention Center,  Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City on Nov. 17, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The seminar will be handled by Christopher E. Carandang, a two-time World Memory Athlete who competed in 2011 and 2012 World Memory Championship in China and London in which the Philippine Memory Team got the silver and bronze medals respectively. He also conducted memory seminars in countries like Malaysia and Cambodia and other institutions such as Makati Medical Center, Department of Education, University of Makati, University of the Philippines Diliman and Los Baños, Camp Aguinaldo and many more.  The content of the seminar will be presented in different phases such as the following, live memory demonstrations, memory diagnostic tests, memory technique activation.

Each participant will be given  a certificate of training right after the seminar. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
