Gionee smart phones selling briskly

MANILA, Philippines - Smart phones rolled out recently in the Philippine market by top mobile phone manufacturer Gionee Communication Equipment Co. Ltd. of China are increasingly being preferred by Filipino consumers.

Industry sources said Gionee smart phones such as the entry level P2 and its flagship product, ELIFE E6 are “selling briskly like the proverbial hotcake” in the country.

“The entry level P2, for one, is fast moving because it is packed with a number of features that you will usually find in phones that are priced higher,” an analysts said.

Gionee’s ELIFE E6, the analyst noted, is fast catching up among Filipinos especially those who are hooked on social media sites and gaming. The smart phone is powered by a 1.5 GHz quadcore processor, a high-definition display, 32-gigabyte ROM and a 13-megapixel camera.

Company officials expressed appreciation to Filipino consumers who have begun to patronize Gionee mobile phone products.

“We are delighted with the reception by Filipino consumers of Gionee mobile phone products. The company has done everything possible to ensure that every Gionee smart phone is user-friendly and unique,” Philippine Gionee Mobile head Katrin Salanga-Gregorio emphasixed.

Memo Express, one of the country’s leading cellphone dealers, carries Gionee mobile phones in all its outlets nationwide. Memo Express executives have found Gionee mobile phones to be of superior quality but priced affordably and competitively.

Gionee unveiled its flagship smart phone ELIFE E6 in the Philippines only last October 10. Subsequently, it rolled out its other mobile phone products such as GN708 and P2 following the launch of ELIFE E6.

These mobile phone products, company officials said, are products of extensive technological research by its numerous research and development centers located all over China.
