Rufo’s Famous Tapa bags 2 franchise awards

MANILA, Philippines - It was double the victory for Rufo’s Famous Tapa this year as the fast-rising food franchise company recently bagged two awards from the prestigious Entrepreneur Magazine Franchise Awards: “The Fastest Growing Franchise” and “Best in Franchise Support.”

Rufo’s president Paul Izon Reyes proudly shared that these awards were not just for him but for all his employees and most especially his franchisees.

Rufo’s is now among today’s most loved Filipino fast-casual dining chains in the country mainly because of its delicious and affordable specialty dishes since 1984. It was only in 2003 however, when Reyes a self-confessed Rufo’s lover, acquired the company and professionalized the business through Rufo’s Famous Franchise Corp.

Though the brand and product mix has growtn with sumptuous treats like liempo, sizzling chicken sisig, tinola, bulalo, boneless bangus and pork chops, Rufo’s signature Beef Tapa or “Tapsilog” remains the all-time favorite. “Our 24/7 operations and our growing chain of stores allows us to serve affordable, freshly-cooked, real food any time you want it  and anywhere you are. We are open 24/7 everyday for dine-in, delivery and take-out and strive to go the ‘extra mile’ in terms of sevice,” Reyes continues.

Under Reyes’ leadership and management, Rufo’s patronage increased considerably with the brand gaining more awareness and recognition in the restaurant industry. From 16 employees in 2003, Rufo’s now employs 186 people.
