Cebu Pacific cancels flights to and from Zamboanga
MANILA, Philippines - Budget airline Cebu Pacific Air canceled on Monday its flights to and from Zamboanga City following the ongoing situation between government troops and members of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF).
"Cebu Pacific had already advised that flights to and from Zamboanga are put on hold due to security situation," the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Media Affairs Division said, adding that the airline started canceling flights as of 9:30 a.m.
Two people were reported killed and several others hurt as more than 100 MNLF members occupied at least three villages in Zamboanga City early Monday.
