Mitsubishi previews new Mirage G4

MANILA, Philippines - The local unit of Japan’s Mitsubishi Motors Corp. will preview and start offering pre-order price markdowns for the newest addition to its vehicle line-up, the Mirage G4, today.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) will sneak preview the new Mirage G4 sub-compact sedan starting Sept. 2.

“This special preview is to allow customers to take a glimpse of this exciting all-new model before its official introduction and at the same time take advantage of the Mirage G4 Pre-Order Exclusive,” MMPC said.

The special preview night for the new vehicle model will be held at selected Metro Manila dealerships such as Citimotors-Pasong Tamo in Makati, Diamond Motor Corp. in Quezon Avenue and Peak Motors in Manila Bay.

For customers in other parts of Luzon, the special preview night has been scheduled on Sept. 6 in the following MMPC outlets: Freeway Motors in Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija, Freeway Motors in Baliuag in Bulacan, Motorplaza in Calasiao in Pangasinan, Carworld in San Fernando in Pampanga, Evolander in Taytay in Rizal, Amcar Automotive in Greenfield in Sta. Rosa in Laguna, Jabez Motors in Cavite, SFM Corp. in Lipa City in Batangas and Caleb Motors in Naga City in Camarines Sur.

A special preview night will also be held on Sept. 13 in these dealerships: Maximotors in Puerto Princesa in Palawan, Avescor Motors in Iloilo, Avescor Motors in Bacolod, Fast Autoworld in Mandaue in Cebu, Fast Autoworld in Cagayan de Oro, Karasia in Bajada in Davao, and the Mindanao Integrated Com. Ent. in General Santos.

The Mirage G4 sedan offers fuel economy with its 1.2-liter 3-in-line DOHC (3A92) engine which boasts of a fuel consumption of up to 21 kilometers per liter.

The vehicle has big cabin space which can comfortably fit five adults and offers generous amount of legroom, equivalent or even better than some compact cars.

The pre-order exclusive for the Mirage G4 is in the form of a P40,000 outright markdown from the suggested retail price of the vehicle.

The firm said such can also be applied as reduction in downpayment for financing transactions or to offset the cost of insurance of the unit.

Those who want to avail of the Mirage G4 pre-order exclusive can make a P10,000 refundable deposit to be entitled  to a pre-order coupon which has to be registered at the Mirage G4 pre-order website, www.mirageG4.ph.

Customers who want to be part of the sneak preview night must get in touch with the nearest MMPC dealership.

MMPC, the second best-selling automotive brand in the country, accounted for 24 percent of the market for the January to July period, having sold 24,929 units, 23 percent higher than in the same period last year.

The company expects to hit record-high sales by the end of this year with the introduction of the Mirage G4 and as it provides upgrades to existing vehicle models.

The company achieved its highest record sales in 1996, when it sold 36,533 units.

MMPC sold a total of 34,915 units last year.
